Details of Beautiful Cities & Guizhou Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Beijing Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.
Day 2: Beijing (B, L)
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
- Tiananmen Square: the largest public square in the world. It is 880 meters from north to south, and 500 meters from east to west, with a total area of 440,000 square meters and can hold one million people.
- Forbidden City: the largest ancient imperial palaces where 24 emperors, 14 of the Ming and 10 of the Qing, ruled the country from here over a span of nearly 500 years.
- Temple of Heaven: The temple was the place where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for good harvests.
Day 3: Beijing (B, L)
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way, the Ming Tomb, the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) in the afternoon.
- Badaling Great Wall: As its name implies it gives access to every direction. With an elevation of 600 meters it is the most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall.
- Ming Tombs: it is the largest clusters of imperial cemeteries in China. They are mausoleums of thirteen emperors of the Ming Dynasty.
- Sacred Road: Which means the road leading to heaven is lined with 18 pairs of stone human figures and animals, they are important decorations of the mausoleum.
Day 4: Beijing - Kunming (B, L)
Visit the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Kunming and transfer to the hotel.
- Summer Palace: the largest and best preserved imperial garden of the Qing Dynasty extant in Beijing, as well as a famous classical imperial garden.
Day 5: Kunming - Lijiang (B, L)
Take a morning flight to Lijiang and transfer to the hotel. Visit Baisha Village and a local Naxi family, Baisha Murals, the Former Residence of Rock Joseph in Yuhu Village and the Square Street of Lijiang Old Town. Enjoy the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance at Dongba Palace in the evening.
- Lijiang Old Town: Lijiang Old Town was built about 800 years ago during the Southern Song Dynasty. Owing to its unique ethnic culture and urban layout, this old town consists of 3 parts, Dayan, Shuhe and Baisha. Lijiang Old Town listed to be one of World Cultural Heritage in 1997.
Day 6: Lijiang (B)
Full day is free. You can enjoy the ancient town and pay a short visit to a Local Family of Naxi Minority by yourselves.
Day 7: Lijiang - Kunming - Lunan (B, L)
Take a morning flight back to Kunming. Transfer to visit the Stone Forest at Lunan and stay overnight at the hotel.
- Stone Forest: is known as the First Wonder of the World ever since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD) for its natural landscape.
Day 8: Lunan - Shizong - Xingyi (B, L)
Drive to Xingyi via Shizong. Xingyi is the southwest gate of entering Guizhou province. En route, visit the Local Tobacco Farm and a Local Country Market if time is proper. Upon arrival in Xingyi, visit the Local Folk Museum of the Wedding Rituals. Stay overnight at the local hotel.
Day 9: Xingyi (B, L)
Visit the Forest of Thousands of Mountain Peaks, the Maling Gorge and the Heaven-star Gallery which takes 2 hours' hiking.
Day 10: Xingyi - Huangguoshu Waterfall (B, L)
Drive to Huangguoshu. En route, explore Zuoqi Black Miao Village to discover traditional costume of women with big earring, black turban and black cotton jacket. Visit the Buyi People Village to see their traditional way of spinning and weaving. Stay overnight at the local hotel.
Day 11: Huangguoshu Waterfall - Guiyang (B, L)
Visit the largest waterfall in Asia - Huangguoshu Waterfall. Upon arrival in Guiyang, visit the Jiaxiu Pavilion and the Qingyan Old Town. Stay overnight at the hotel.
- Huangguoshu Waterfall: is the largest waterfall in Asia. Seventy-four meters (243 feet) high and eighty-one meters (266 feet) wide, it is a scenic marvel.
- Jiaxiu Pavilion: it is a landmark of Guiyang. It is originally built in 1598 in the Ming times. The tower is magnificent and unique, and of great culture significance in Guiyang.
Day 12: Guiyang - Kaili (B, L)
Drive to Kaili and check in at the local best hotel. Visit a Long-skirt Miao Village. You will experience daily life of the Miao people by visiting the Local Families. Meanwhile, you can appreciate the typical architecture of Miao people - Wooden Stilt House.
Day 13: Kaili - Guiyang - Shanghai (B, L)
Visit the traditional way of paper-making and a Long-skirt Miao Village. Transfer back to Guiyang and take a flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.
Day 14: Shanghai (B, L, D)
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, transfer you to the Bund area and Nanjing Road. Tonight an a la carte farewell dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.
- Shanghai Museum: ranked as the best museum in China.
- Yuyuan Garden: is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region.
- The Bund: the picturesque bund with tall building of various tower over the river, looking as a museum of modern world architecture.
- Nanjing Road: the most famous thoroughfare in Shanghai for shopping and entertainment.
Day 15: Departure from Shanghai (B)

This tour was really wonderful! Though it was long and changed many cities, every stop we had recevied a warm and great service. Tour guides in Beijing, Xian and Yunnan were all very excellent. Hotels were clean with nice service. Meals we didn't like very much but it was typical. We book this tour on line and they gave us a discount. We highly recommend this tour, it was really great and value for money!
